“The Kids” Family Album
Kids have always loved spending time at the Hauberg Estate. Mr. John Hauberg and Mrs. Susanne Denkman-Hauberg had two children, a daughter Catherine and a son, John Jr. They enjoyed spending time with their dogs, the pony, going on family holidays, hiking and enjoying the flowers and wildlife at the estate.
John Hauberg’s hobby was photography. In fact, thousands of his photos and glass slides are in a special museum at Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois, near the Hauberg family home.
Susanne Hauberg wrote in her journal daily about family and their activities. We have learned so much about Hauberg life from her journals and Hauberg family members.
