Welcome to Andrew’s Place, a 3 BR, 1B, 2400 sq ft, fully equipped 2nd floor apartment located in Rock Island, IL at the Hauberg Estate Carriage Haus. Hauberg Estate is a 1910 prairie style home and Carriage Haus that was built by Susanne Denkmann, the 7th child of lumber baron, FCA Denkmann of Weyerhaeuser-Denkmann Lumber. Susanne married John Hauberg in 1911. This lumber mill was the largest mill in the United States in 1866.

Andrew’s Place was the home of Andrew Rietz, Susanne and John Hauberg’s driver and gardener and part of the Denkmann family, for over 50 years. The Mansion and Carriage Haus are on the National Register of Historic Places and a local Rock Island landmark. Hauberg Estate sits on 10 acres with 5 ponds, a 3+ acre terraced garden, formal rose garden and forest. The Estate also borders the Broadway Historic District with many turn of the century homes. During your stay at Andrew’s Place there are many attractions to see along the Mississippi River, great local restaurants, pubs, coffee shops and destination hot spots including Black Hawk Historic Site, Quad City Botanical Center, and Schwiebert Park.

THE KITCHEN & PANTRY

The kitchen is fully stocked with coffee, tea, sugar, creamers, spices/oil. A small snack basket is provided on check-in. Please help yourself to anything provided.

PARKING

There are 3 assigned parking spots in front of the Carriage Haus driveway in the main parking lot. If you need additional parking, you can park

anywhere in the parking lot, but it is not reserved particularly for

Andrew’s Place. If there are cars that are in your parking spaces, please call the contact numbers.

A late check-out will accrue a $50.00 fee, unless granted a late check-out from host.
