“Play, Explore and Create.”
Amateur Photographer’s Day and Contest at the Hauberg Estate.
Rock Island, IL, October 25, 2019 – The Hauberg Estate is inviting amateur photographers to “Play, Explore and Create,” at an event designed just for them. On November 9, 2019, the mansion and grounds will be open for two sessions (9am-noon and noon-3pm) for interior or exterior personal photography projects only. The Hauberg Estate is located at 1300 24th Street, Rock Island, IL 61201.
Photographers will begin with a brief tour to point out areas of interest and specific features. After the tour, photographers will be free to move about the estate at their own pace. Please bring your own equipment and lights. The cost is $20 per person and participants can register at Eventbrite.com or by calling 309-373-5080.
The first Amateur Photographer’s Day will also have a photo contest all participants may enter. The theme for November 9th photo contest is “Art and Architecture.” With the changing seasons, it’s the perfect time to capture the colors and beauty of the estate. Entries will be posted on Facebook. Top vote getters will be reviewed with the winner announced and presented a prize. Winning photo will appear on the Hauberg Estate social media and in the newsletter.
Professional photographers are always welcome to rent the Hauberg Estate for exclusive access for private client and personal photography. 3-hour and 5-hour session fees and scheduling can be made by calling 309-373-5080.
The Friends of Hauberg Civic Center Foundation is a 501(c) (3) organized for charitable and educational purposes to oversee the preservation and sustainability of the Hauberg Estate, Mansion and Gardens.
