Welcome to the Hauberg Estate

The beautiful Hauberg Estate has been a cultural and architectural icon in the Quad Cities for over a century. In 2016 a non-profit organization, the Friends of Hauberg Civic Center Foundation, was created to oversee the preservation and sustainability of the Hauberg Estate, Mansion and Gardens. Their accomplishments and on-going efforts can be seen throughout the mansion and the grounds.  

Listed in the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1972, this Prairie-style mansion sits majestically atop a hillside in Rock Island, Illinois. In 2016, the Hauberg Estate became a Designated Local Rock Island Landmark, which further supports and protects the property. HAPPENINGS AT THE HAUBERG

With so many activities and events taking place at the Hauberg Estate, there is definitely something for everyone! Tours of the mansion take place weekly on Fridays at 1 p.m. Join us for the historical lecture series which is always well attended. Fundraising events, from music, to art, to parties and galas keep the Hauberg Estate humming with activity year round!

The Hauberg Estate has graced Rock Island, Illinois for over a century. Referred to as an undiscovered hidden jewel, it fell into disrepair. Unfortunately, like many historic places, it was taken for granted. When awareness of the possible loss of this local treasure was made known, the community rallied and fought to preserve the mansion and gardens.
